I wouldn't fret over job loss. Tge labor market is simply shifting. Jobs gave become obsolete over the centuries as civilization has evolved. Know of any lamplighters? Know of any switchboard operators? They disappeared long ago as technology evolved. If you are driving a taxi or bus or truck, your jobs will soon be obsolete as well. You'll find other work. Just keep training yourself where the money is.

Thanks! It's funny how I overlooked the turning of the main axis, although it is very obvious. I am currently working on a fixturing system to be used on welding robots or positioners for manual welding. This system will be a modular frame (somewhat resembling Demmeler components) and will be the interface between the machine and the welding fixture. In addition to this, RND will provide engineering services for re-design (use integrated laser oriented solutions) and for fixtures.

Hi RND, in this case the centre-line of the main axis of rotation is set at height so as to maximize the available fixture/component depth while maintaining the ability to rotate the main axis through 180 degrees with floor clearance. The "indexing positions" are at an angle in order to do this while providing acceptable height for the staff to load and unload the component fixtures. The height of the robots is set relative to the resulting fixture centre-line of rotation.

Nice video! Why are the robots placed so high with the positioner indexing positions at an angle? I don't see an obvious advantage.
